After New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne announced a December release date for his highly anticipated Carter III via youtube, fans of the Cash Money front man will now have to wait until February to get their hands on the LP.
According to XXL Magazine editor Elliot Wilson, a.k.a Yellow Negro, folks at Universal Records have confirmed that there is no Carter III coming out this holiday season, the album is slated for a 2008 February release.
For those of you who can’t seem to get enough Weezy, the self-proclaimed rapper eater will be making his cartoon acting debut on Cartoon Network’s The Boondocks this Monday.
The episode, “Invasion Of The Katrinians,” finds Lil Wayne’s character as part of a family of displaced New Orleans natives who arrive at the Freeman household looking for shelter. You can check out Lil Wayne’s bit below and watch the full episode here.
