New York rapper Busta Rhymes has inked a new deal with record label Universal Motown.
Rhymes, who was recently released from Dr. Dre’s Aftermath records will join fellow rappers Lil Wayne and Chamillionaire on the mega label.
According to reports, the “Don‘t Touch Me” hitmaker has signed an agreement to release his eight studio album entitled “Blessed,” on December 9th under the powerhouse label.
“Blessed,” which was originally scheduled to hit stores in early July, will feature contributions from Linkin Park, Dr. Dre, Green Lantern, Cool & Dre, Nottz, Timbaland and Pharrell.
Jay Z Starts Yet Another Label?
In related news, Hip Hop rapper and mogul Jay-Z is rumored to be starting a new record label with Norwegian producers STARGATE.
Jay-Z is alleged to have teamed up with the beatmaking duo, consisting of Tor Erik Hermansen and Mikkel S. Eriksen, to form StarRoc.
The deal is said to have come about after Stargate, who have produced hits such as Beyonce’s Irreplaceable and Ne-Yo’s So Sick, relocated their studio to Jay-Z’s Roc The Mic studios in Manhattan, New York.
At press time, the relation of this project with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation was unknown.
