On March 15th the notorious hook man Nate Dogg passed, in the last week long time friend and collaborator Warren G released a tribute song for the late singer.With the release of the tribute Warren G vows to keep Nate’s name alive and he’s planning on doing even more by releasing an EP of material he and Nate recorded before the untimely passing of the West Coast legend last month.

Warren told MTV that he did a whole album with Nate Dogg that was never released, so he will release some of those songs along with new collaborations with friends and admirers of Nate which include E-40, DJ Quik, The Game, and B.o.B and others that haven’t been confirmed as of yet.

Warren speaks on Nate:
“Nate wasn’t just a hook man, he was a songwriter too,” he remembers. “He was just incredible. Back in the day I had seen how he could captivate the crowd when he sang. We’d be in the hood and he’d sing and everybody would just melt. I was like, ‘Nate, let’s go and let’s work, let’s make it happen and be successful.’ And we did that.”
