Kanye West Blasts Nike During Madison Square Garden Rant

Last night, Kanye West took the stage at Madison Square Garden as part of his Yeezus Tour, and delivered another one of his famous rants.

As Yeezy let some things off his chest, he cranked up the auto-tune and addressed Hedi Slimane, wanting Eric Schmidt’s support, and proceeded to blast Nike and questioning the release of his Yeezy II “Red October” and more.

As we reported last week, Kanye West revealed that he signed a new deal for his clothing line. At the time of the announcement, Ye said he couldn’t make known who the deal was with, but we got speculation that the deal is with Adidas’ high-end line Y-3, and the question was asked if his Nike Air Yeezy II Red October’s would still be releasing.

During his rant, Kanye blasted Nike as he revealed that he will announce who his new deal is with on Monday, while blaming the delay of the latest Air Yeezy II shoe on Nike:

They try to act like people ain’t line up for the Yeezys. [Nike CEO] Mark Parker tried to son me. Yes. Son me because I am the sun and I will shine bright. And when I don’t have as much money as a billionaire and when I don’t have the factories that, that dude has over there, what I do have is my voice. Ain’t no corporation that can take me away from my voice and I’m going to scream at the top of my motherfucking mountain as loud as I want. Anything I want. Whenever I want. Is that crazy? So I’m going to make the announcement on Monday with the corporation that finally let me get an opportunity to create.

As he continued, Ye blames Nike for the delay of the Red October’s:

I asked Nike when the Red Octobers supposed to drop, and they said, “We don’t know.”
