As Def Sounds previously reported, 17 year-old Chicago rapper Chief Keef was sent to jail on a probation violation, and he was due back in court later in the week for sentencing. Today, Keef appeared in a Chicago courtroom to find out his fate and he was sentenced to two months behind bars.

As reported by Complex, Idris “Peeda Pan” Abdul Wahid, a member of the teenage rapper’s management team revealed that Chief Keef will have to serve two months at the Illinois Youth Center in St. Charles, Illinois due to his probation violation.

Chief Keef’s probation violation stems from a previous charge for pointing a gun at a Chicago police officer, and the violation came as a result of the 17 year old rapper handling a gun during an interview at a NYC gun range with Pitchfork Media.
