Talk of a Dipset reunion album has been ongoing for some time now, and really heated up back in the summer of 2012 when Cam’ron confirmed the album was in the works and that 7-8 tracks were already recorded. At the time, Cam also noted that the album would be released soon.
After Cam confirmed what will be the third Dipset album, talk died down until January 2013 when Juelz Santana revealed that a new song from the group was being recorded, and that the song would lead into getting the album completed.
Following Juelz’ announcement, there hasn’t been much said about the third album from the Dips; until now as Cam’ron recently touched on the project, and explained the reasoning behind the delay.
During an interview with Hoodrich Radio, Cam’ron explained why the new Dipset album hasn’t been released yet.
Well, you know we all good with each other. It’s about everybody; everybody still got a lot going on. It’s about everybody just being on the same page and not being busy.
The Harlem rapper continued:
Everybody got something going on right now. So, we all just gotta get on the same page and if we get the time, but it’s definitely all love.
It’s just about nobody wants to sit in the studio for a week and just do a Dipset album cause it wouldn’t be genuine. So, basically we trying to figure out the time schedule so we can do it and get it right.

In other Dipset news: Has Jay-Z banned Dipset music from his 40/40 Club?
Although their beef, which kicked off in 2006, has played its course and Cam’ron says he’s over it, but doesn’t think that’s the case for Jay-Z as Cam believes that Hov still has hard feelings that goes as far as banning Dipset music from his string of 40/40 Clubs.
During a recent interview with MTV, Cam spoke on believing Jay-Z still has ill will towards him and the BK mogul allegedly banning Dipset music from 40/40:
I think he has more of an attitude with us than we have with him. We had our moment back and forth, but I’m kinda over it. Like if you go to the 40/40 Club you’re not allowed to play Diplomat music.
Cam says of the supposed ban in the 40/40 Club:
It’s ridiculous. I got DJs who DJ in there, who are my people and you can’t play no Diplomat music in there. Will we irk you that much?
That’s the thing that make me be like, ‘Wow.’ Because I don’t care, I like it, because if I had $500,000 million nothing can make me mad. But just for the simple fact that we get under your skin that much good because we’re that fly, we’re that flashy, and we just that type of people to get you upset. But I don’t have any problem with him, I think it’s cool, but c’mon.
MTV reached out to the 40/40 Club to see if the ban was in fact true, but they received “no comment” as a response.
