What a bittersweet feeling it must be for Sir Michael Rocks, a Chicago native in his late 20′s that has evolved into such a superior solo artist, documented through mixtapes like The Rocks Report and Premier Politics. From humble beginnings with Chuck Inglish as a duo under The Cool Kids, Mikey has shown momentous longevity (outlasting trend-after-trend), which can be attributed to his incredible adaptability as both a musician and tastemaker.

Today, we celebrate Mikey’s first commercial solo album, Banco, which features guest appearances from hip-hop heavyweights in Too $hort, Mac Miller, Twista, Trinidad James, Chuck Inglish and much more. As observed through the music video for “Memo” (filmed in the Everglades), Sir Michael Rocks has certainly been influenced from his travels that stretch from Los Angeles, California all the way to Miami, Florida.

It should come as no surprise to see a set of South Florida talents like Robb Bank$ and Pouya on the LP, considering Mikey has developed such a strong bond with the Sunshine State as a fairly new resident. On that note, let us say our thanks to The A.V. Club for providing the full stream of Banco down below! We do hope you support Sir Michael Rocks after giving Banco a listen by purchasing the LP on iTunes!
