Dr. Dre To Release New Mixtape?

With no release date for Detox in sight, it looks likes [twitter=DrDre]Dr Dre[/twitter] may be prepping a new mixtape to hold fans over until the release of the album and G-Unit DJ Whoo Kid will host the tape. Whoo Kid sat down with The Hip Hop Chronicles UK and mentioned that Dre hit him up a couple days ago and wanted to work, and he hopes a mixtape will come out of it.

Whoo Kidd also speaks on his most memorable moments with 50 Cent and a lot more. Watch the full interview below.

  Don’t worry man the mixtape will be out by 2015, that hopefully means less than a decade til we get Detox!

  I see it like this. Right now if you ask the average hip hop fan about Detox they’d look at you like “huh?” There is really hardly any buzz at all for this album from normal people. Yes, all of us who are heads and follow everything that comes out the second it comes out know what’s up with Detox and are either hyped or not.
  
  If Dre drops an official mixtape with a bunch of bangers on it, that shit will hit the streets and the normal hip hop/rap fans will end up at least hearing the shit which is great, creating the necessary buzz. He just better put out quality shit on the tape or people will lose interest.

  im all for DJ’s but “mixtape DJ’s” are fuckin pointless. Dre is one of those artists ill always support so i hope he does drop a mixtape and unlike you nay sayers im hyped for Detox AND believe it will be here by summer AND it will be dope BEE-OTCH
