Black Star aka Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey (Formerly known as Mos Def) appeared on The Colbert show and premiered their new single “Fix Up.”

In the beginning of the video clip the duo have a interview with Colbert, but if you just want to hear the new single and skip the Q&A session head to the 5 min mark of the below video.

The “Mobites” are a prison gang, professionally known as the “Moorish Science Temple Of America” or MSTA.

The followers of the gang are known as Mobites and they take their american government name and change it to whatever their last name is but they drop the first name and add an “El” or a “Bey” to their last name, therefore admonishing their “Slave Name”, kinda similar to what the Nation Of Islam does when they add an “X”.

If you think George Bush conspiracy theories are deep, you should check into the reason why Mos Def changed his name. MSTA is basically an underground movement that stands 3 million deep that even the government is powerless to stop. Mos has ALWAYS incorporated this stuff in his music and most people dont even pick up on it.

    Im not sure which receiver you speak of but if his name ends with El or Bey than I would have to say Yes, he is part of MSTA. Its a HUGE movement now. I know for a fact Ive seen a Bey on a Pittsburgh jersey.
    
    I dont know of any links to support it. I only know of it because of seeing it first hand. But the Moorish Science Temple of America is the new Black Panther party. You MAY be able to wiki it I dont know…

      Yeah, I just found it on wikipedia. It dosnt explain much beyond the founding of and the beginnings of the organization but it gives you a rough explaination.
      
      They are basically the Crips of the Michigan and Illinois prison system and are leading the pack in the Black islamic militant groups outside the fence.
      
      Its beyond just the Violence and Religious surface that the media makes it out to be. Its more like a Black Underground freemason sect, complete with the secret handshakes and all that.

      And it probably has no connection whatsoever, but in this season of Dexter, Mos Def plays a character who killed somebody, got let off because the judge died, got thrown in jail for drugs, and then turned into a preacher dude. And he owns a car shop, but only hires ex-cons.

        I cant say they really effect TODAYS society one way or the other. As of right now they have no political agenda that I know of. But they DO have many members in higher up positions such as famous actors, musicians and atheletes.
        
        The thing that is most interesting about them is that they are so deep and so powerful on a national front yet nobody even knows about them. I imagine that if they were to move on to become a global society then we’re talking about a possible complete underground takeover by way of media influence.
        
        I dont know about that Dexter episode you speak of or the meaning behind it but it sounds kinda 3D now that you mention it. My girl DVRs that show, I’ll have to check it out.
        
        BTW Ded3… The Lions are Five games deep and still undefeated… I know my sports predictions are suspect now that I picked Philly to go to the Superbowl in week 1 but Im starting to think Packers vs Patriots or maybe even Buffallo. Im thinking the Lions might even make the Conference finals…

I guess I just don’t like the idea of someone as dope as Mos Def being a part of something like that. He’s always had a classic Hip Hop feel to his music. Idk.

And the Lions are dope. Stafford has to stay healthy obviously, but they’ve got a complete team. Playmakers on each side of the ball. I don’t believe in the Bills’ hype yet. The game against the Pats was a fluke performance from Brady. We’ll see if they can keep it up.

But really, as of now, my football opinion is voided because my squad is sucking big time. I’ll stay with my prediction with the Pats in the super bowl, and the NFC is still wide open.

I will agree that people in high ranks of media do know about their birthright, they just don’t openly taught about, but you all have been told. Black, African American, Black African, Coloured are not Nationalities. Malik El Shabazz (Moorish American title) started to talk about nationality. The Moors (all over the earth, from americas to africa to hindustan (Masons by birth) taught the Europeans Masonry, and they weren’t taught 360 degrees. El, Bey, Dey, Al, Ali are tribal titles that tie you back to the land, because most black/coloured/african-american people are actually aboriginal autochthons to this land, we were already here and never came on some slave ship and we had an empire. Starting point: Noble Drew Ali, Dred Scott Case and Civil Rights act ruled unconstitutional in 1883 and both never over turned, 14th amendment never properly ratified.
