The BET Hip-Hop Awards were recorded today, but will not air until 10.11.11 on BET. But in the mean-time BET has released footage of a couple of the Cyphers. Check out Cyphers 1 and 2 below, and you can see the rest of the cyphers when the awards show officially airs Oct 11th.

Cypher #1: Chris Sutton (Sprite Hot 16 Contest Winner), XV, Jay Rock, and Gilbere Forte.

that first cypher was actually pretty dope. i liked Jay Rocks verse, especially his first line “im a Rock and a hard place, im surrounded by smiles and they all fake.” Forte’s last line was ill too. but the second cypher…zzzzzzz. anyone else think French Montana rode the short bus to school? also, i didnt kno Term was so damn short

  What a garbage ass cypher. Only one worth mentioning was Jay Rock. I would say the Chris Sutton dude, but he won a sprite contest to get into that cypher…..meaning somebody most of thought he was super dope….He was garbage tho. Let me get a hold of the Sprite contest next year its a wrap.

Best cyphers I heard so far was GOOD Music’s (best overall), Ice Cube and his sons with Rev Run and his sons, and Mos Def, Em, and Black thought. Can’t wait to hear the rest!

The best cypher i remember from the awards out of the years was the ace hood,juelz santana, fabolus and jadakiss one. Cassidy waas on 1 but twy didnt let him spit for long plus he kinda let me down. I also agree with elite rappers in cyphers, defintely would get more viewers.
