Thing is, the more music you listen to means the more resources you have to compare music which means the more critical you become. Then again, in dedication’s world that’s clearly not true. ‘Song of the year so far’??? Wow! Knowing you actually listen to genres outside of hip hop… I honestly don’t even know what to say to that.         Off of 10 listens within the first 5 hours it dropped, it’s absolutely up there.
        
        “World’s An Addiction,” “Trust,” “Pyramids,” “Rich Dad Poor Dad,” “Red Eye,” “Dark Paradise” and this are my favorites so far (I’m probably forgetting something really good, don’t hate me).
        
        And to be clear, I’m not just hyping it up for the hell of it like I normally do. I’m literally stunned more people aren’t amazed by the sincerity and cohesiveness of the song.

        I checked it out. I actually listened to a few of her other songs before that one, just to see what she was all about. She’s definitely unique, got that whole retro-chic thing going on.. but not really for me. I did like ‘Dark Paradise’ the most out of the three or four I heard though. If we’re talking contemporary white chick singers, Amy Lee (Evanescence), Joss Stone and Adele are where it’s at for me. This song, however, may be my favorite female vocal performance of the last ten years…

      No way in hell is this song of the year, Its a good song, nothing more. I cant imagine myself listening to this more than like 3 times. It had a lot of potential but it just doesnt have that spark that gives it good replay value. I feel likes its just too similar to “Monsters in my head” in which that song is way better than this.

  This track kinda reminds me a lot of Crooked I’s mellow down track “Villain.” It is a great track. It is a hell of a lot better than what they have been leaking lol

For you guys that are “disappointed” because you want to hear that straight lyrical, no holds bar, slaughter of a track they are capable of delivering, this is called being a complete artist, showing growth and balance. It’s an album, not a mixtape. For crying out loud “On the house” is on its way and I think the album will be fine, lyrically.

A hip hop song hardly gets better than this. 3 straight heart felt verses, perfect production, and an incredible hook. If anyone ever doubted this album, this group, or the exec. Producer/ mixer, you need to quit listening to hip hop.
