I honestly believe that they needed a song like this on their catalog. Lighten the fuck up! And take 2 minutes out to read my 2 cents.

“Paper Trail” was one of the best albums of 2008 and IMO, T.I’s best album. It had everything you can ask for in a fantastic album.
Radio/female track- Whatever You Like;
Banger- Swing Your Rag, Swagga like Us;
Catchy with substance- My Life Your Entertainment, Dead and Gone, Live Your Life;
Message/Meaningful- No Matter What, Slideshow.
And what was the result? The album was not only just awesome, it received many many accolades (still robbed from Grammy rap album of the year ), and certified double platinum.

That was T.I. Now multiply lyrical, substance, and quality 10x with Slaughterhouse. And artistic, record breaking skill 50x with Eminem and you’ll have “Welcome to Our House”.

If they wanted, they could put out a 2, even a 3 disk album with nothing but deep meaningful lyrical songs with complex rhyme schemes and over your head metaphors. They can do that, we know! But can they put an international sensational hit album with all kinds of music with quality? Songs not only for the hip hop head (crybabies), but also for the ungrateful bastards that only purchase hot production, knowing nothing of monsters like SH, Black Hippy, Black Star, etc. An album that’s appreciated throughout the music nation.
They’re on a major record label, one of the highest selling of all time, a label that’s already gone 0 for 1 with Yelawolf (in numbers). They’re pushing the right buttons not to let that happen again.

Remember:

There are certain keys of being a successful, high selling rapper, and then there are certain keys of being actually an awesome artist. There are certain keys of putting together a hot song. Then there are certain keys of putting together a hot album.

Usually artists put em songs SPECIFICALLY for girls only (Lollipop, Candyshop, Find Your Love, Bonnie and Clyde ’03) but SH put out a record that’s enjoyable for everyone. Give me one SH song you can dance to in the club. This is it. So stop hating on the group and their material. If you don’t like the track and MUST say it, then just say you don’t like this song and move on. Stop with the shit like “Album sounds garbage, Shady killed my favorite group, they’ve gone commercial” blah blah.

This isn’t about people being logical, it’s what we are hearing. Singles are suppose to give you an idea of what to expect from the album. Sure a lot of us die hard fans will still purchase the album but for others it’ll just get downloaded releasing shit like this. And for new cats trying to see what Slaughter is about, they probably get put off by this as well. Slaughter needs to expand the fanbase if they wanna continue to releases albums point blank and so far these singles (especially this one) barely help their cause.

WOW!!! Who is this group and what happened to the Slaughterhouse that was formed on Budden’s Halfway House? The album better go in a completely different direction, because I am an admitted Slaughterhouse Stan, but this is getting on a Lupe L.A.S.E.RS. level.
