This song sounds NOTHING like ILLMATIC. It sounds like IT WAS WRITTEN… If u studied Nas’s whole catalog u’d agree. It Was Written was a near classic and a top 5 Nas album. This song is another great cut.

That said, I think this is going to be the most diverse Nas album yet… By that I mean he’s going to flow different on every song and speak on many different topics all within one album. In my opinion, usually Nas sticks to a certain mood/theme consistently throughout each of his albums depending upon how he is feeling about the time period (hip-hop culture/US society).
