Before Nas releases his new album, Life Is Good, on July 17th, he lets loose another new track entitled “Bye Baby.”
Salaam Remi and Noah “40″ Shebib handle production on the track.
Previous: Nas – Life Is Good (Album Sampler)
Meh. Not a very good song. And even less good when you consider that it’s the album closer.
i thought it was pretty good. might wanna listen again. that 3rd verse…wow
I dnt know how u dont say this is good,if this is a bad song whats hot to u bro???
sounds like an instrumental drake passed on lol but dope track
This is incredible.. but it’s grown man rap so I wouldn’t expect everyone to be feeling it
How has the album not leaked yet?!
Anyways, sounds like Nas has another potential album of the year on his hands… Like every other time he drops. Insane.
prob wont til like wed-thurs
my moneys on tomorrow.
this song is fuckin great! real hip hop, real meaning! When I look back at Nas’ record history, all tracks tell a different story and have some meaning, thats how it should be! A lot of artists buzz die out, cuz they rap about the same shit, they eventually lose all their credibility, that’s why nas never fade or lose his fan base cuz he rap from the heart.
fuckin hype as hell for this album
this is good feeling hip hop at its prime. this might be his best cd. the beats he choice to rap to gets old to fast sounds like sum thing i can buy for five dollars online not the sample the drum beat.
THIS ALBUM WILL BE CLASSIC
yet another REAL song. REAL…REALISTIC….
Yo Ded: Frank Ocean dropped his joint early. Downloading it as we speak.
Got it last night.
It’s fantastic. Thanks for the heads up though.
Only listened to it once but, so far, I think Sierra Leone is my favorite.
I’ll take Bad Religion
Also, him performing it live with The Roots is just epic
Word. Gotta admit though, when I know he’s talking about a guy in a particular song, although I can appreciate it sonically, hard for me to listen to over and over.
Oh, I think it’s incredible. I guess for me, it’s not like he’s talking about having sex with a guy, he’s just talking about someone he loves who doesn’t love him back… while also talking about a God that doesn’t love him back.
It’s like, the everyday person can relate to one meaning of the song, but both meanings are so significantly personal to him.
I hear you though. Forest Gump, as great of a song as it is, is difficult for me to listen to. I still do though lol.
Edit: When I say a God that doesn’t love him back, I’m not saying that’s my personal belief, I’m just saying that’s one interpretation of the song.
Edit 2: I just saw he’s on pace to sell about 125,000 copies off iTunes alone. Good for him.
Word. I hear you. And the God interpretation is both a good and very fitting one. I think I’ll give it another listen and approach it from that perspective. I’ll probably just pass on the Gump track for now though. Lol.
I’m glad to hear he’s moving units. And he’s also getting great reviews. Good for him. I think the album is good, though I don’t like it as much as the critics seem to. I think his letter is making a lot of ‘progressives’ and those who consider themselves to be ‘deep’ give the album higher marks than perhaps they would have had he not written the letter. Nonetheless, there’s no doubt that he has a unique sound, good song writing ability, takes chances and clearly puts thought into his content. So what more can you ask for.
this shits deep
This shit is great
god this is a breath of fresh air
it’s nice to hear an artist grow and be introspective.
I just don’t get (or agree) that marrying someone brings “honesty” into any situation. I’m referring to the 3rd verse.
Album is pure fire… Need a link hit me up… BTW Album of the year no BS
Nas leaked. Listening now…
I just downloaded,im about 4 tracks in,all strong cuts/banggers…..
