YES. just saw this last night in Williamsburg. Regardless of all the hate towards Lupe for songs like “I dont wanna care right now,” Lasers is a pivotal album for him. Respect this dude for still getting a message across in a pop-infested industry. LETS GOOO

    Some lupe fans are VERY weird. I’m referring to the radical conscious-rap Lupe-fans. IF they don’t get what they want, which is that tribe-sounding or just basic formula of straight hip-hop, they think Lupe’s ultimately changed and is done. “Omg devastation, wtf is lupe doing? I’m so disappointed, FML” Dickheads, when you’re on a major label, you BETTER be putting out some pop singles or you’re not getting play at all. It’s that simple. You not gonna hear Lupe making Flocka sounding shit either to hit some level of radioplay (which I know for sure you Lupe stans do NOT wanna hear xD)
    
    There was alot of compromise done for this album to be put out but even if you look at it from a musical view, this album still has great material that you’re not hearing from other rappers. It’s different so fucking deal with it.

  The hook is really beautiful. The whole aspect of the song is incredible. Who can NOT like Lupe, even if they’re too dumb to understand and relate to his songs. They just sound DOPE AS HELL

Honestly, I was real depressed from the shit going on in my life, and this song just put a smile on my face; made my day.
Thank you Lupe, can’t wait to hear the remainder of the album.

I like to make jokes about Lupe because all you people are in love with him, but ultimately, you have a reason to be. He’s a great artist, and Lasers is shaping up to be a fantastic album.

The tracks are obviously quality, but there is something about them that i don’t really want to listen to. The beats are just a little bit to upbeat and energetic for me.

I feel like the lyrics are decent but not anything spectacular like on his other songs. The content is great but I feel like atlantic forced him to dare I say “Dumb it down”. I’ll still buy because Lupe in my opinion is the best around that isn’t a legend yet and because I already have the itunes pass.

MANNNN, ive been a lupehead. Like, since i FIRST heard about him, and this sounds NOTHING like what i first started enjoying YEARS ago. This sounds like ALL atlantic, and no Lupe, like, i dont like this at ALL. they need to part ways, and he should sign with some one else, because this here, was a waste. All of the petition signing, and the We Want Lasers on twitter, THIS is what he gives us ? A POP infested album, with GREAT lyrics covered with POP beats.

initial thoughts: still not a big fan, cant really relate to this ‘slave’ talk, beat selection reminds me of the production of Kid CuDi’s Man On The Moon II (A solid album!) And whats up with Lupe using that voice changer thing on some songs?? (The same one that Kanye used for his song Georgous and Christian Denim Flow) ehh w/e its not like its a bad thing

Beautiful Lasers is a nice song, I can see myself bumpin Out Of My Head in my whip, Til I Get There is dope, and Words I Never Said is speakin on some real shit!! Letting Go is ill too

I hate bumping and being hyped by albums like Recovery, My Twisted Dark Fantasy, Cabin Fever mixtape, H.F.M.2, ect. and then hearing a song like this, or a joint off the Nas & Damien Marley album, even 2pac’s recently leaked track “Reincarnation”, and all of a sudden all that other rap shit dont even matter anymore… why be hyped for more bullshit when its the same bullshit…knamsayin???
