John Boy South Side Chicago born emcee that personifies the true essence of self expression. Having lost his father to street violence, John Boy began expressing his thoughts, pain, and anger through music at the tender age of 9. He continued to write throughout his childhood and by his freshman year of high school he released his first project “School Dayz”. The effort landed him at Clear Star Entertainment, under the management of Julius Little, and he began performing at local venues throughout the city of Chicago. After high school, John Boy took a brief hiatus from music and attended Columbia College to study music business management. In 2012 his uncle, Charles “FREE CHILL” Patton, took John Boy under his wing and he began working on a new project (untitled) that is scheduled to be released in the Fall of 2012.
