Joe Budden lets loose a new track, “Why Would I,” from his forthcoming Feature Presentation project.
Download: Joe Budden: Why Would I
Shout out to my bastard child COB for the heads up.
Hey Chargers fans.
And this is great. The hook will have to grow on me, he is mostly just experimenting with flows and ideas. He killed the verses.
Hey Joell Ortiz fans.
It’s crazy how on records wit slaughterhouse he usually (sumtimes he goes in) has tha weakest verses but as a solo artist he makes better music than tha other 3… So yea he may b tha weakest in tha group but when he’s solo he drops classic shit tha the other 3 aren’t capable of makin
Joe Budden NEVER disappoints.
Fire Verses and once the hook is fixxd this is a certified banger.
Cant wait for the new project….anyone know a date for it?
Hahaha, “my bastard child COB.” If Defsound’s login wasn’t messed up for about a week or 2 it would still be COBmyRELIOGION. Thanks for the shout though Whitefolks. I liked the hook and the verses, shit is dope. Title has (ROUGH) in it, maybe it’s not a finished track? not sure…
That’s Emanny on the background vocals.
I’m guessing in the final version Emanny will be on the hook.
If you look at the improvement from the Black Cloud Rough and the When It All Implodes Rough, the final version is always a lot better.
cob= exposed. first he says he has a wife then in the other thread he says girlfriend. my theory: cob is a hermit 30 year old who has never seen a vagina in his life and is frontin for defsounds. think about it. could any1 who is on ds as much as cob have a significant other? his wife would divorce him over his ds addiction
Dont remember saying wife, but I do remember others saying I was married lol. I have a girlfriend/fiancee, 1 blood son and 2 step children. Since you are desperate to know my personal life. Anyhow, god shit you exposed me. smdh Shmuck
If anything, Cob spends too much time trying to introduce the children’s young ears to inappropriate subway music. I can’t hate tho. I’m gonna make my first child sleep next to a football and a Joe Budden CD.
But if those things were true, I’m pretty sure somebody would have pointed them out by now lol. Smoke, I’m looking in YOUR direction…
Not on half as much as I use to be. Stopped paying attention to the site through my phone, so when I am out doing school, work, etc I don’t bother. Just got home from school and about to head to work, just incase hellooo hi wants to know lol… Don’t want to be “exposed!”
This dude is f-cking hilarious. He has numerous videos criticizing different subjects/topics! Lil B gets it in this one!
Hahaha, and I must have missed this one he did. Here Jim and all you other YM fags. He speaks the truth about Wayne! Funny as sh-t…
how bout my boy Ponder tho? kid is gonna be a problem in the near future. him and AP aka All Day aka The Beast are gonna make a nice combo. i smell a super bowl ring….
not happy with the auto tune hook bullshit, but other than that it’s a good budden track
The verses are decent, but the hook is horrible. Budden could drop better material than this.
LMAO @ autotune.
Thats all needs to be said about this track.
I know the debate will never end but I don’t see how so many people call Joe Budden the weakest link in Slaughterhouse. Granted they all have different styles but I put Budden at either 1 or 2 (the other 1 or 2 is Crooked). I think people’s problem with Joe is that he gets emo sometimes, talking about girls and shit, but Joe’s lyrics are always excellent and he raps about the shit that’s really on his plate. I think he’s the most introspective rapper in the game. Crooked tends to talk more about what he’ll do in terms of his actions as it relates to his pain, whereas Joe takes the more psychological approach of what’s going on in his head/heart. I personally have to put Joel and Royce at Number 3 and 4 or 4 and 3 because, to me, Joel has the least amount of depth of the 4 and Royce rarely seems to deliver a verse without being a clown. Again, it comes down to personal preference, and I definitely cater to more serious, layered music.
Nice track by the way.
^^I pretty much agree completely lol…
i agree completely except i like when Royce clowns around. it balances out the group. Joey is the introspective one (the 2Pac of the group), Crooked is the lyrical one and has the sickest flow (Biggie), Royce has the punchlines and witty lines (Big L) and Joell, doesnt really stand out anywhere specifically but hes a solid MC and i really dont think it would work as well if it were jus the other 3 so he kinda rounds out the group. but i guess id call Joell a modern day Pun.
Good point about Joell rounding out the group. When I think about it that’s def true. He’s like the role player every team needs. He might not be the best at any one thing but he can shoot the three, drive, defend or grab the board when it’s needed.
Solid. I know we butt heads sometimes but a lot of times I actually agree with you. And I think u often question my hip hop legitimacy or whatever but I only ever aim to tell the truth as I see it. If nothing else- I don’t b.s.
^that message was for Hip Hop’s Bastard Child/COB
Crooked I is the best lyrically and it doesnt even come close. Joe on the other hand is the only one in the group that can make solo records.
I call budden tha weakest link based off the 1st SH album… He got bullied all over that album wit tha exception of 2 or 3 songs… I definitely think he stepped up in terms of keeping up wit tha rest of them (i.e. tha cipher) hopefully wit tha next SH album he will change my perspective… I agree wit wut u said about royce n joell but their verses were still better than buddens on that album… Crooked is definitely tha best in the group bcuz his flow keeps u listening n his word play makes u wanna rewind… I ain’t shittin on budden bcuz lyk I sed b4 he makes better projects than tha other 3… As a solo artist crooked would b tha weak link n I think he’s tha best 1 in the group… Sorry for bloggin
Idk how one can say royce is the bottom of slaughter…well, I really don’t see the rating of who’s best n what not…they all got their own style n preference towards listeners…but…they all (when together expecially as SH) are monsters. Rating actual tracks verse byverse is understandable…but to rate the group members in general is dumb…they all have their standout tracks/verses. Its all preference. Personally…royce and budden take my top two…followed by crooked nd then joell…regardless…every1 of them are beasts…best in the game now.
Same order 4 me..i notice alotta people sayin joey come da weakest on slaughterhouse tracks which i disagree wit cuz i can think of several which i think he had da best verse on but few do come 2 mind where he got outshined by all 3 most notable 2 me was onslaught..i think wut it is tho is some slaughterhouse fans not a budden fan on da side so dey dont really kno his main strength is pennin down real shot..da prime of da other 3 members in terms of mixtape material is when dey just go in wit no specific aim in content which is wut slaughterhouse did on most tracks so far..joe got his joints where he just go in but most of his material is deep and introspective which he dont get much of a chance 2 do rappin amongst 3 other lyrical giants where most tracks been a display of skill..i got em ranked joe in front..royce..crooked..and then joell..all 4 of em was 4 of my favorites before dey was slaughterhouse before joe and royce almost went at it..no matter da other slaughterhouse is da best niggas in da game
*no matter da order
2 other tracks he was totally outshined on were “killaz” n “sound off”… But he did go crazy on “cut you loose”… But I agree wit wut u sed… If they had more in depth songs budden would prolly shine more however they don’t… Many of their songs are random n hav no subject n in that aspect crooked shines the most… They are all dope in their own right n are tha nicest mc’s in tha game bar for bar… Tha ratings we give are just opinions n really don’t matter anyway bcuz a group is only as strong as it weakest link n the weakest link in slaughterhouse is better than 99% of rappers out right now… Can’t wait for tha album especially after hearing “the illest”
Yea i def agree wit sound off cuz it didnt sound like was comfortable wit da quick flow at all and he got punished..if u fast forward 2 dat furiously dangerous track wit luda tho he completely shitted on em all wit da quick flow
