Buck, are you being serious, or are you trolling?
Cause saying he’s been talking about the same shit since 05 is about as false of a statement as you can make about Budden.

And it doesn’t seem that you’ve listened to enough of his discography to really form an opinion on him based on that statement. Yes, a lot of his music is depressing, but that’s because he’s gone through a lot of shit.

As far as creativity goes, I’ll give a couple examples.
To explain the experience of someone putting a gun to his face and pulling the trigger (the gun jammed, obviously), he made a song about a hypothetical scenario where the gun didn’t jam, and he went to heaven and had a conversation with God (even went as far as questioning God and humanizing him).

To explain his depression, he made a song where the depression is personified in the form of a woman who has a stressful relationship with him. Lines in the beginning of the song take on a whole new meaning after you hear the end of the song. “N*ggas tried to tell me her head was insane.”

And honestly, there’s dozens of songs that break down his life experiences in creative ways. The best part about it, is that it’s all real. You know pretty much everything about his life after you get done with his discography. The shit is unparalleled with any discography I’ve ever listened to.

Listen to “Pray for Me,” “Whatever It Takes,” and “Exxxes” and tell me he isn’t creative. But if that’s not your type of music, then it’s not for you. That’s alright, but to say some of the things you said just isn’t realistic.

So i guesss in that sense Rasco Dash, Waka and who ever else makes catchy hooks are the top artist not the ones with careers that last multiple years or even a decade like joe has.
