  I see what your saying, but I completely disagree with what your saying. Looking at Cole now compared to Pap and Sai when they had a buzz, Cole is to me a more complete MC. He has more range than Sai and Pap ever had, but not to knock Pap and Sai at all. Cole just seems to be a more complete artist. But I can see where your coming from, but the machine behind him is to strong for him to fall to the sideline like Pap and Sai did

All right check it. Everybody was looking for the most groundbreaking single since sliced bread. But your boy Cole was in the lab like ‘Man, I gotta get this commercial single money.’ Lol. Me personally, I bang wit’ the song. It’s simple and has one of those typical catchy hooks… and, you know what, that’s cool with me because we know that when J. Cole does something like this- it’s because he WANTED to. I almost feel like he earned himself a Simple Song, dig? It’s like this: When it’s all said and done… J. Cole is gonna’ come correct on his album. We’ll get all the substance, punchlines, metaphors and ‘did he just say that’s’ we could possibly ever want. So just let your boy have a little fun with this one and wait for the heat to drop.

This is complete trash and anyone who says differently either likes radio rap, or is a complete stan.

I’m from NC and have been listening to this guy since most of you even heard of him. The beat isn’t anything special. The sample makes the hook. The verses sound like they were written by Gucci Mane.

I realize the rest of the album is going to be CRAZY, but this is TRASH.

Okay. Upon a few more listens I’m gonna’ modify my stance on this song a bit. Real talk, I still like it. But the lyrics are pretty bad. When he tried to rhyme world and fire I was like ‘Okay Cole, come on now.’ So while I still dig the catchy hook and the sample I think he should’ve come a lot more correct on the verses, thereby offering a best of both worlds type of single. He could’ve remained the lyrical monster we’ve come to love while still dropping a song that people can just bob their heads to if they so choose.

But again… the CD will be the ish. So it’s all good.

true that dedication3 but at the same time in today’s world only a couple artist can pull that off, its eminem brah, and he doesn’t have any recognition so he gotta make it appeal for a broad crowd you think he could of made work with BLOW UP idk maybe he could of but it would be really risky that songs insane though, but i ain’t gonna like i was expecting something like flashing lights appeal, idk just not soo much for the ladies

  I thought of that right when I hit post. Em is so popular that he could’ve made it work with anything.
  But still, B.o.B. came out of nowhere with 2 HITS. Lyrically they weren’t anything special, but he still remained true to his style.
  
  I mean, JCole is featured on Derrick Rose’s shoe commercial with “I’m On It,” Baseball Tonight had him remake the theme to the show, and even Who Dat got a decent amount of radio play in NC and on Hip Hop stations like Shade45.
  
  I just think he already has enough of a buzz on the internet and with his mixtapes… he really doesn’t need a radio hit. He just needs music that will fire up the people who still aren’t convinced. Overall, I’m just really not feelin this track lol.
