J.Cole got the sample cleared and now he drops the lead single, “Work Out,” from his debut album.
Download: J.Cole: Work Out (Prod. By J.Cole & Elite)
lol this is horrible. Come trash me Jcole stans.
Hahaha, its better than anything Wayne been putting out, but yea I’m not liking it though… Sounds like he wants to be a Kanye West Jr. lol Your fan Mr. hoe says this clown is the best out and sucking his nutz harder than you on Wayne’s lol smdh….
This is nowhere near Anne and Nightmares of the bottom.
Hahaha, I knew I would get you to would reply with something… lol
chalie….u heard lost ones?
ya its a great song
flow is off…blow up shoulda been the first single…album still bout to be the best thing out…
and weezy just released the name of his new mixtape. “sorry for the wait”, That shit is going to be flames.
Seriously DOUBT that… With a Lil B feature, I can only imagine who else he gonna have on it. Shit why not a Soulja Boy Feat? lol smdh…
I doubt he will have a lot of features. If its anything like No ceilings, it will be an instant classic. And a lot of great rappers are featuring Lil B. We just have to get use to it.
What great rappers? Only one I heard was a possible Lupe, but as of right now to my knowledge it did not happen lol.
I think this is pretty dope. Definitely feeling the sample. I hope Lost Ones is the second single.
Papoose, Saigon, J Cole….What do these 3 men all have in common? Ha!.
throw chamillionaire in there, and those guys could give slaughterhouse a run for their money
I see what your saying, but I completely disagree with what your saying. Looking at Cole now compared to Pap and Sai when they had a buzz, Cole is to me a more complete MC. He has more range than Sai and Pap ever had, but not to knock Pap and Sai at all. Cole just seems to be a more complete artist. But I can see where your coming from, but the machine behind him is to strong for him to fall to the sideline like Pap and Sai did
All right check it. Everybody was looking for the most groundbreaking single since sliced bread. But your boy Cole was in the lab like ‘Man, I gotta get this commercial single money.’ Lol. Me personally, I bang wit’ the song. It’s simple and has one of those typical catchy hooks… and, you know what, that’s cool with me because we know that when J. Cole does something like this- it’s because he WANTED to. I almost feel like he earned himself a Simple Song, dig? It’s like this: When it’s all said and done… J. Cole is gonna’ come correct on his album. We’ll get all the substance, punchlines, metaphors and ‘did he just say that’s’ we could possibly ever want. So just let your boy have a little fun with this one and wait for the heat to drop.
Keep It One Hunet
Guys this is a single, you can’t listen to this and expect it to be his best work. A-b-c lyrics for idiots he’s unknown to and needs to appeal to. Album prob won’t be like this.
This is complete trash and anyone who says differently either likes radio rap, or is a complete stan.
I’m from NC and have been listening to this guy since most of you even heard of him. The beat isn’t anything special. The sample makes the hook. The verses sound like they were written by Gucci Mane.
I realize the rest of the album is going to be CRAZY, but this is TRASH.
Who Dat and Blow Up >>>>>>>
And “This is just a single” is not a valid excuse.
Did you guys hear Not Afraid? Ok. Cool.
k this aint that insane its deff tolerable to be on the radio even though i thought he would just go hard all way thru including the main single, if his next single isn’t mind blowing then i will back off the best rapper thing, but if he drops material will all know he can like lost ones then yes i really think he is the best overall rapper alive,.but this single is tolerable for radio at best,…that being said charlifag how can you come off soo strong and say this is horrible when you never come off that hard on wayne like literally it blows my mind when you come off like that bc this beats John & how to love<<>>ane,…any day any1 disagree?? and come on, y’all act like y’all don’t know what j cole is capable of i will admit joe budden is deff in the argument when it comes to heartfelt music compared to j cole but when it comes to being an overall rapper j cole beats him by a couple of notches in today’s world in my opinion
Okay. Upon a few more listens I’m gonna’ modify my stance on this song a bit. Real talk, I still like it. But the lyrics are pretty bad. When he tried to rhyme world and fire I was like ‘Okay Cole, come on now.’ So while I still dig the catchy hook and the sample I think he should’ve come a lot more correct on the verses, thereby offering a best of both worlds type of single. He could’ve remained the lyrical monster we’ve come to love while still dropping a song that people can just bob their heads to if they so choose.
But again… the CD will be the ish. So it’s all good.
- Keep It One ‘Hunet
true that dedication3 but at the same time in today’s world only a couple artist can pull that off, its eminem brah, and he doesn’t have any recognition so he gotta make it appeal for a broad crowd you think he could of made work with BLOW UP idk maybe he could of but it would be really risky that songs insane though, but i ain’t gonna like i was expecting something like flashing lights appeal, idk just not soo much for the ladies
I thought of that right when I hit post. Em is so popular that he could’ve made it work with anything.
But still, B.o.B. came out of nowhere with 2 HITS. Lyrically they weren’t anything special, but he still remained true to his style.
I mean, JCole is featured on Derrick Rose’s shoe commercial with “I’m On It,” Baseball Tonight had him remake the theme to the show, and even Who Dat got a decent amount of radio play in NC and on Hip Hop stations like Shade45.
I just think he already has enough of a buzz on the internet and with his mixtapes… he really doesn’t need a radio hit. He just needs music that will fire up the people who still aren’t convinced. Overall, I’m just really not feelin this track lol.
Anne < Lost ones any day**
i mean shitt i would’ve never had a problem with him dropping Blow up as a single, but the dude deserves to think to himself and be extra paranoid on to make himself be legendary by everyone giving him a chance to hear his ablum so i guess he came to the conclusion that this would give him the best chance for people that don’t know about him to give him a chance ya know, the dude has been incredible run so lets not kill him when he’s just thinking of how to get people to give him a chance, to be a great artist in today’s world
maaaan i can’t get jiggy with this shit!but seriously tho i wouldve took disgusting or return of simba over this.
http://email@example.com_1.jpg hey y’all i think i finally came across DWHITE in person real shitt,..check it out!
its a breath of fresh air even nas say its not even fair
how a nigga so young and educated
could ever make it in the rap game, hes elevated
this is 6 outta 10 at best..coulda been dope tho..a lil too much singing from Cole on this for my liking..
This song okay, i was expecting something different but its the type of song you have to listen to a few times to catch on to it…Most of J. Cole’s songs i like it when i first hear it, i had to listen to this about 4-5 times and its catchy…his album will be dope tho
he shouldve shortened up “Blow Up” and made that the lead single
j.cole came a bit gimicky for the single, aint gone lie i expected better with his calibur of lyricism
You guys are sooo fucking picky. Yeah its not the most lyrical song ever but he brings some nice bars for the ladies and this will get play and his album out there. The sample is hot.
Not his best work but the production is disgusting. Typical A&R single.
fuck j cole and roc nation, i hate the way he’s trying to rap like gay ass kanye on this track, stressing the last word on every line .. i haven’t heard a legitimate jam from him since lights please, i know im gonna get trashed, but i really don’t understand all the hype around this kid
If you wanna understand the hype around this lyrical giant then holla at me and I’ll give you 20+ songs where J. Cole goes H.A.M. He’s gonna be a giant but its true that the A&R’s/Record Labels are killing the music game by not letting the artists pick singles and songs for their own album.
