  Word. It’s an absolute banger, one of my favorite tracks already. And this is hands down the year’s best release. And I’m not only saying that cause I’m a big J.Cole fan. I’m two listens in and am highly impressed with the story telling and really impressive wordplay.

I’m very proud of Cole and what he did with this album. I said in a previous post that I didn’t feel like this CD was the ideal CD he wanted to put out, and that he had to make compromises for his label. I still agree with that- but I’m happy to say the CD was way better than I thought it would be. One of the strongest albums from start to finish I’ve heard in a long time. Truly. And in a lot of ways he really DID get to do it his way. Hardly any features, he carried the whole joint, and he produced damn near every track. I was also truly impressed by his ability to produce. He surprised me a few times. I’ll be buying two copies on the 27th. And I can’t wait for his next album. Do the thing Cole.

Its a good debut album but ofcourse you guys are overrating the hell outta this lol

Every hook sounds exactly the same, theres a few old ass songs, and his lyrics are a lil dumbed down for his standards.

Intro- great intro, so melodic

Dollar and a Dream III- this song has three different beats, plus spits hard

Can’t get enough- radio

Lights Please- old but better than 99% of other rap records out right now

Interlude- funny

Sideline story- real solid storytelling, not car music, but niggas grow up

Mr. Nice watch- car music, Jay is a bitch for not going toe to toe with Cole on God’s gift

Cole world- song slaps but I hate it worst song on album

In the morning – unnecessary actually hurt album should have been a bonus track and put nothing lasts forever here

Lost ones- real song, if you can’t feel this song then idk What to say

Nobody’s perfect – fuck Cole should of made this his single, not a radio song but its a hit

Never told – song is a filler to some n great to others,

Rise and Shine – Betta than any song on watch the throne, Carter IV, or r.e.d. album. Only songs that may compete r murder to excellence n my city

God’s gift- could of been a classic but hov bitched out LOL

Break down – personal favorite song, not a song u listen to with others unless they stfu. This song touches the soul. Either u relate or u understand

Nothing lasts forever – song should of been on album not bonus and it should of been a single

Daddy’s little girl- great song for bonus track replace work out with this.

Remove the forced radio commercial songs n u have a classic. Tell u right now its Betta than drakes debut best debut since Lupe fiasco food n liquor

whoever mastered the album fucked up big time on lost ones,…shit sounds retarded compared to the first one,…the part were he resembles a girl talking sounds way too monotone and just dull, the leaked version is a lot better,…and the organ was better when it had more delay,..idk the master engineer fucked up that song.

All I’m gonna say is that the ALbum is a A….It is just great. Honestly if you are really comparing this to something like C4, then your hip hop ears should be revoked. No fucking comparison. Cole….I’m gonna buy two albums when it drop cause I ain’t hear an album this good since RECOVERY!
