  i was iffy about copping the album cuz i wasnt sure if cole could actually put a great album together..but wow im definitely copping it now if he’s going to be on the shit he’s been on recently(minus the halfway decent single meant for the radio)…its still a toss up tho whether or not hes going to get the shine he deserves or if its just gonna be another great hip hop album that gets overlooked

So J.Cole is a lil inconsistent right now, probably still trying to find a angle to debut his album and what type of single he has. Cheer Up and Return of Simba are some crazy as tracks, Work Out is more for radio play and Disgusting was….yea let’s just forget that right now. Work Out even though it isn’t his best work would give him that radio play and it does knock in the whip and something to nod ya head to but nothing to special…I would love to see this as his debut single or Return of Simba (the best of them all as of now) but it probably won’t happen….still buying the album without any doubt though

People keep ragging on Work Out…it’s a radio single. Period. It is what it’s supposed to be…a Billboard Top 100 hit. This is going to be a great song (it’s clearly not finished as this is probably the version he e-mailed to someone so they could be featured on it…I’d like to hear Jay-Z or Wale on this beat). But this is not that “summer jam” that you ride around with your windows down…that’s Work Out.

So no need to worry, J. Cole is J. Cole…but he’s got to have a radio song (be glad it didn’t feat Lady Gaga or Katy Perry). I’m sure he’ll have a club banger and a love song on the album too. It’s just the way it goes. This is an album, not a mixtape. I suggest ya’ll learn the different. One sells and makes money, one is for your fans and supporters.
