For some reason this takes me back to East Coast, late nineties rap. When I first heard Crooked I couldn’t believe he was from the West Coast because most West Coast rappers aren’t lyrical. But Crooked is a monster. And this track is dope. I can tell I’ll be banging this for a while.

  I agree this is average for Crook. But I’m sticking by my statement. There aren’t that many West Coast rappers that are dope lyrically. When I say lyrically I don’t mean WHAT they say (content) I mean HOW they say it (hotness/cleverness). Please fill me in on some of the lyrically inclined West Coast rappers folks. Especially COB, because though we have our disagreements, I know he respects lyricism. What yall got?

        You know what, I’ll check out a couple of those artists. My opinion is based on the bigger artists I have listened to it and I just never found West Coast rappers to put an emphasis on wordplay, punchlines and complexity. But I’ve never listened to Planet Asia or some of the other more underground rappers. I did listen to Bishop though. Average to me. For now, I can only say I’ve found Kendrick & Crook to be in a league of their own.
