As we reported last month, it was speculated that Young Buck would be released from prison on October 1st. We’ll it turned out to be true as the Cashville rapper is now a free man.
After serving nearly 14-months of an 18-month prison term, which he began serving on August 6th, 2012, Young Buck was released from Yazoo City Medium Security Federal Prison in Mississippi, earlier today.
Buck’s prison stint stemmed from a conviction on two separate gun possession counts following a 2010 IRS raid of his Nashville home.
The rapper was initially sentenced to 3-years in federal prison, but the judge in his case allowed him to serve his two counts concurrently, which cut his term in half.
Although he is free from prison, Young Buck will continue to be on supervised probation for the next 3 years.
