Former G-Unit rapper Young Buck was scheduled to start his prison sentence on August 13th turned himself in a week early, and has officially started serving his 18 month sentence on gun possession of a convicted felon charges.

As reported by TMZ, just moments ago, the Nashville rapper checked into Yazoo City Medium Security Federal Prison in Southern Mississippi.

In July, Young Buck was formally sentenced to three years in prison on two separate gun possession counts, but the judge in his case is allowing him to serve his two counts concurrently, so he will only spend a total of 18 months behind bars.

Buck will be free from prison in early 2014, but will still be on supervised probation for 3 years following his release.
