Yelawolf “Radioactive” First Week Sales Projections

Yelawolf’s Shady Records debut, Radioactive, was released yesterday, November 21st, and now today the first week sales projections are in.

According to HitsDailyDouble, Yelawolf is estimated to move between 40-50k copies of Radioactive in its first sales week.

  I’m telling you man, there should be a way to find out how many people from each gender bought the albums.
  Drake sold about 659,000. Out of which I’m sure 30% is Birdman, 60% are bitches and just 10% dudes. – Out of which 9% are bitch made dudes with female tendencies that claim to be hip-hop fans when they’re really fans of the mainstream radio shit.
  
  Yelawolf will push around 50,000. Out of which 95% are guys that are real hip-hop fans or Shady 2.0 fans. And about 5% girls- if any.
  
  So if there is one thing Drake should be proud of over Yela is his ability to appeal to all the masses of the ignorant world we live in. And if there is one thing I would want Yela to do is.. Stay true to himself. Don’t sell his soul in expectation of higher numbers. Don’t go pop. Keep it real, and the people that support him are the ones that actually love his music. Not some bitch ass front runners.

    dont get me wrong man! i love Shady ! im a Stan! but just take a look at what he’s done for yelawolf or even salughterhouse! i bet slaughterhouse will do 25k in first week! at least in YMCMB birdman will buy 200k copies and they will be where they deserve to be ! and people will know them and for the second album (with birdman’s +200k) they can do at least 400k (just like drake just Did)
    or BME’s Hell the sequel ! an album that could outsell any hiphop album this year, did only 150k and almost lost the #1 spot to a 12 year old girl (thank god that didnt happened)

Well these numbers aren’t praiseworthy regardless of the artist or where he’s signed. And an artist of SHady 2.0? That’s hurtful. Hopefully Eminem realizes his mistakes with this and promotes the Slaughterhouse album properly.

Let’s also hope that this doesn’t affect Yela’s next album. I don’t want him to get pushed back indefinitely or anything like that because he couldn’t hype up the ignorant suburban teenagers.

fun fact if comparing sales: Eminem 1st album Infinite didn’t do too well either, it was The Slim Shady LP that really pushed the dude [4x platinum].

Dang I’m kinda upset by this. Em needs to put their name out on the mainstream more. Putting your name out on the mainstream is different than being mainstream. And with all the talent in Shady right now they might just be able to push all these airheads back to listening to real hip-hop.

50k isn’t bad in this day and age. Yelawolf is fairly well known but he’s about as popular or less than someone like tech n9ne or the kottonmouth kings. I think the cd is incredible and it def deserves to do better but he’s still sorta underground and didn’t have a huge mainstream single. I think as the universally appealing songs like radio, write your name, animal, and roll on get more recognition then the album will pickup in sales. Remember how the band crazy town didn’t sell hardly shit of the gift of game album and then when they put out butterfly they went platinum shortly after. Not comparing yelawolfs style to theirs but it only takes one big hit and ppl will eat that shit up. And the ppl complaining about his singing like its the first time seriously haven’t listened to anything other than trunk muzik. Go listen to songs like darehego, makeup, take it easy, basically most of the creek water and stereo CDs

The main reason that he really didn’t sell that many copies is because he is white and if ur white and u rap you have to prove.yourself before u sell slot , I thought the album was good except for slumerican. Which on every album there is storage one bad song on others they all suck( like Wayne Drake Mac Miller ect) and if teenage girls don’t like it then there is a big disadvantage.
