Over the past year, there has been much talk of a Wu-Tang reunion album for the 20th anniversary of Enter The Wu (36 Chambers). The last we heard about the album, Raekwon said there has been many problems with-in the Wu, and he wants all issues to be put aside before the album is recorded. But, Method Man was in a whole other place than The Chef as he revealed that the new album is being worked on and will drop this year.
Now, there’s no more speculation about a Wu-Tang reunion album as it has been confirmed and the title along with a release date for the album have been set.
According to a press release, via HHNM, the title of the Wu-Tang Clan 20th Anniversary album is A Better Tomorrow, and the album will be released in July of this year.
A Better Tomorrow marks the sixth group album for the Wu, and the title is inspired by a track of the same name off their Wu-Tang Forever album.
To coincide with the release of the album, the Wu will put on two UK shows for their 20th anniversary. The first concert is July 25th at O2 Apollo in Manchester followed with July 26th performance at O2 Academy, Brixton. Tickets for the anniversary shows are available for purchase [here].
