The first-week sales total for Wiz Khalifa’s sophomore album, O.N.I.F.C., which hit stores last week are in, and the Taylor Gang boss finds himself in the #2 spot on the Billboard charts.
According to HitsDailyDouble, the Pittsburgh rapper sold slightly under his projection and moved 131,213 copies of his sophomore effort and came in #2 on the Billboard charts during his first sales week.
Although, Wiz Khalifa had a solid first sales week, it wasn’t enough to take the top spot from Taylor Swift, who sold another 170K copies of her new album RED; and moved her back in the #1 spot on the Billboard 200. Swift is back at the charts top spot after falling to the #2 spot the three previous weeks, which makes this the ninth straight week that the country singer has charted at either the #1 or # 2 spot since her album released on October 22nd.
O.N.I.F.C. marks the second time Wiz will debut #2 on the charts as his freshman release Rolling Papers moved 197k units in the first week back in 2011, and also debuted in the second spot.
