Wale has begun working on what will be his third studio album, and he has revealed that the sound of his new album will compare to that of his earlier work that he did with Mark Ronson.

In a recent interview with HipHopSince1987, Wale speaks on the sound of his upcoming album.

Wale states:

I’m definitely working on some new music. I got an album dropping in February. You know, I’m excited about the music, because it’s very reminiscent of my older stuff with Mark Ronson and things of that nature, so I’m excited.

The MMG rep also spoke on his new single (which you can listen to [here] ):

“The Arrival” is a mission statement of where I’m at musically.

Wale’s upcoming album is set for a first quarter 2013 release in February.
