After stirring up a bunch of controversy with his recent comments about the South running NY, as promised, Trinidad James releases “The Truth Will Set You Free,” which is not a project, as thought to be, but a PSA from the Atlanta rapper explaining his recent comments about the South running NY musically.

When I say wrong messenger, I’m not saying that because I only have one hit record, no album yet, that I don’t have the right credentials to say that. What happened was, I picked the wrong place to have a barbershop conversation. This is not an apology, and I’m not apologizing for the truth. I don’t believe in that. But this is to let the city of New York know, I wasn’t trying to disrespect you,  at all, I can never do that. That’s against my code as a man. Forget being a rapper. I don’t really care. Mostly, I don’t really think I can rap anyway. I’m Trinidad James, and I was not disrespecting New York City when I made my remarks and that’s all I can tell you. Thank you very much for your time.
