As Def Sounds previously reported, Bay Area rap legend Too $hort was arrested late last week in Los Angeles after being pulled over for a traffic violation, which led to the rap veteran being hit with felony drug charges. Now, it seems as if Short Dog caught a break, and will not be facing felony drug possession charges.
As reported by TMZ, according to law enforcement sources, Too $hort will not be prosecuted on felony drug possession charges.
The Oakland rapper’s break stems from the L.A. County District Attorney rejecting the felony drug case, because police only found a very little amount of drugs, which they say is meth, in the back of the police cruiser, and due to the fact Too $hort does not have a felony record, the case will be moved over to the L.A. City Attorney for misdemeanor review.
Too $hort’s misdemeanor drug case will be reviewed next week by the L.A. City Attorney.
