As we reported earlier in the week, Timbaland revealed that a new Michael Jackson project is in the works, and he announced the first single as “Chicago.” Now, the super producer reveals more details about his collaborative project with the late King Of Pop.

As his interview with Revolt TV continued, Timbaland revealed more details about the new Michael Jackson project, and confirmed that it will be a full album.

As Tim spoke on the MJ project, he said:

“To even go bigger, it would be like two kings working together… I have a lot of unreleased Michael Jackson.”

He adds:

“L.A. Reid came to my house, [he's] like ‘I got something big I wanna do. Me and you we gotta do something big.”

Tim continued:

“How would you like to do Michael Jackson?’ Of course I’ll do it. It would complete my legacy.”

Tim went to say the first single “Chicago” is not confirmed, but it should be, because…

“It sounds like today.”

As the interview moved forward, Tim says he never got to meet Michael:

“Nah, [we never met], we talked on the phone.”

Timbo says that Jackson told him:

“I like your stuff. You’re good.”

As the interview wrapped up, Tim states:

“You have to be a true Michael Jackson fan to appreciate what I’m about to do.”

And he says the project will be complete by this year.

“I’ll have it done by this year, after I do a Michael Jackson [album], I will be the man.”
