DMX, Snoop Dogg, T.I., Mystikal, Kendrick Lamar & Others Set To Participate In 2012 Hip Hop Award Cyphers

With the filming of the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards show just a day a way, BET has revealed some of the participants who will lace the mic with some bars for one of the biggest highlights of the awards show, the Cypher segment.

2011 BET Hip Hop Award Cyphers

The Cypher’s for this year will be set up in a bi-coastal manner with DMX leading the East Coast, Snoop Dogg, West Coast and T.I. for the South. (No Midwest?)

Other emcees that will participate alongside DMX, Snoop and T.I. in the 2012 Cyphers include Eve, B.o.B., A$AP Rocky, Cassidy, Mystikal, Talib Kweli, Kendrick Lamar, YG, Kurupt, DJ Quik, Xzibit, E-40 and others who have yet to be named.

As always, DJ Premier will be behind the turntables.

There will be six cyphers in total with three of them airing during the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards show, and three more will be streamed on BET.com.

Filming of the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards takes place this Saturday, September 29th at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center, and will air Tuesday, October 9th at 8 pm EST.

I don’t have a lot positive to say about X these days because he lost that energy and his voice is not the same… but he is one of the greats and, undoubtedly, the realest rapper of all time. If X could spit like he spit on ‘Niggas Done Started Something’ (where he crushed everybody with one of the hardest verses of any era)… I’d love to hear him on a cypher.
