Slaughterhouse “Welcome To: OUR HOUSE” First Week Sales

The first-week sales total for Slaughterhouse‘s Welcome to: OUR House, which hit stores last week are in, and the Shady Records four-headed monster find themselves at the #2 spot on the Billboard charts.

According to Billboard, the group consisting of Joe Budden, Crooked I, Royce Da 59 and Joell Ortiz sold with-in their projection and moved 52k copies of their Shady Records debut and came in #2 on the Billboard charts during their first sales week.

Slaughterhouse landed at the #2 spot as they battled it out with Christian Hip Hop artist TobyMac who sold 69k copies and debuted #1 on on the charts in his first sales week.

  I thought this album sucked at first too but I smoked a blunt and listened to it and now I think it’s amazing. I know this might sound stupid but I think in order to truly appreciate the music you need to get high. We all know that all these rappers smoke mad weed and are probably high as shit when they record. So yeah I think all haters need to chill and take a blunt to the face.

it was a good cd. i got two, just because i liked the mixtape they gave away for free. they said half a year ok they had 30 songz for the cd! i want to hear the left overs

Great CD. They deserve it. I bet they are just celebrating right now & still jumping up & down over the numbers. Glad to see these guys get what they deserve for their efforts.

Just checked out this dude Tobymac’s cd & it is some trash nothing but a party album, plus no originality. His whole album one word drought. I felt like I was listening to any of these other burnt out bird clowns when I turn on my radio. Not surprised that so many people made him #1 since all people want to do is just party & not listening to lyrics with substance. #TobymacisWack (Kids bop music, please stop it) & #SlaughterhouseisIll along with C.O.B./HorseShoe G.A.N.G

people confuse “not what you wanted/expected” for “garbage”. these guys need to appeal to a wide (mostly white) fan base if they want to put up huge numbers. its either that or continue to appeal to their core fan base who is obviously not supporting them. bottom line this is not a bad cd, and certainly far from garbage.

The mixtape leads u into the album. Then when u listen to the album its exactlly what is is suposed to be an album. It has an album format. There album is lyrical but different. I stand by slaughterhouse because they are the only ones who say shit on tracks that make me be like hold up. Rap needed slaughterhouse!

How can someone hate on this album? I agree… first listen, it was a solid effort. But the more I listen to it, the most I like it. There is so much lyricism depth involved that you can’t take it all in at the first couple listens. Let it sink in. There’s an easy 100 quotables from the album combined. Production seemed forced and irritating at times but it mostly shined as well. I honestly don’t understand how people claim this album to be average.

Top 3: Our House, Goodbye, Our Way.

Other hot ones: Park It Sideways, Die, Hammer Dance, Rescue Me, Other Side, Frat House, My Life.

Worst: Throw it Away, Walk of Shame.

Out of 18 songs, 3 are incredible, 5 are great, 4 good, 4 average, 2 whack.

The album had everything:
Radio play songs: My Life, Throw it Away, Throw That
Bangers: Frat House, Walk of Shame, (again) Throw it Away
Lyrical focus: Our Way, Our House, Hammer Dance
Inspirational: Park it Sideways, The Other side, Get Up
Emotional: Goodbye, Rescue Me

What more do you want from a mainstream album? Please feel free to share your thoughts. I’m baffled by ignorance and hate. WT:OH, easily an 8.5/9 out of 10.
