On Tuesday in NYC for the launch of the new virtual 3D concert game Gig-it, the Slaughterhouse crew was on hand, and they took a moment to speak on their new album.

While on the red carpet at the launch event, XXL caught up with Royce Da 59, Joe Budden, Crooked I and Joell Ortiz and they revealed that the recording process of the new album is underway, and also stated that they have a few big announcements coming soon.

Royce speaks on getting started on the new album:

We’re getting started with the recording process, like yesterday.

He adds:

We’re getting on that album. We’ve got some pretty big announcements to be excited about. We’re trying to work that out now. That’s pretty much where we are at the present time.

As Joell Ortiz chimes in, he reveals that solo projects have been put on hold to concentrate on the Slaughterhouse album:

We’re just focusing on the Slaughterhouse [album] right now.

The new album from Slaughterhouse will mark their third album since they formed the group, and second released via Shady Records.
