But NOW we get Kendrick Lamar who’s gettin major recognition for the unique talented lyricist that he is,and you hate on him?? Yeah, I gotcha. I mean, I enjoyed the sound that the album produced, and at the end of the day, that’s all that matters. Sure, Kendrick’s not even calling it an instant classic, and yeah, Kendrick’s going to drop albums that top this one by leaps and bounds. Still, people act like those same artists Shyne mentioned NEVER had their first records dissed by at least one person. Even if we never met the person, someone dissed 50′s first album. Same with Em’s. Same with The Documentary. Hell, someone probably dumped on The Chronic, and for that matter, I’ll betcha someone thought Illmatic was trash when it first came out.

Just because a few folks think it was trash, doesn’t necessarily mean it really was. It’s subjective.

I Agree wit Po the niggas album is just ok, as far as lyrics he’s a beast and he’s talented so none of you gay ass dick riders say im hatin cuz im not a fan of these new niggas anyway im a fan of music, this album is NOT a classic GRODT was a classic because 50 did the smart thing and had Dr. Dre produce most of his beats, kendricks beat selection is trash!!! music shouldnt have to grow on you, thats what i feel when im listening to his shit because i look at all u niggas coments on his music and im taking yall word for it. i think everyone is looking for tht next nas tht next jigga, stop reaching and let this man make music but i repeat this album is NOT a classic, sorry guys..

What’s uup with the kendrick hate at the bottom I was that cat sayin he wasn’t that great a few months ago.. and then I bought his album which u have to listen to front to back to understand before you can begin listening to single tracks, I was like ok this is okay and something different, then the next day I found myself quoting songs I said I didn’t really like too much and going back and listening to them again such as bitch don’t kill my vibe and money trees, basically the whole album, the album is fire and the most diversity I heard in hiphop since like outkast… quit hatin give it a listen front to back and ull see the addiction occur I’m almost possetive this is the first album in a while I can say is a classic and mean it 100%…
