As Def Sounds previously reported, in late 2011, Styles P revealed that The Lox were getting the paperwork right so they can release the follow up to their 2000 album, We Are The Streets. Then in February of this year, Jadakiss made an announcement to expect a new LOX album sometime this year or 2013 at the latest.

Now the third member of the Yonkers crew, Sheek Louch gives an update on the album.

In a recent interview with MTV, Sheek Louch revealed that DJ Khaled and Swizz Beatz will be executive producing the new Lox album.

Sheek states:

The last meeting I had was with Swizz and Khaled and they’re executive producing this new LOX album

Donnie G apologized for the delay:

I was just in the studio the other night with us and Alicia Keys working on the Lox project and get ready y’all. I’m sorry for the delay and the wait, but this joint is gonna be monstrous, man.

As the interview continued, The D-Block rapper revealed that Lil Wayne wanted to sign the group to Young Money:

Lil Wayne tried to sign us, Puff tried to re-sign us and paint that picture over, we done been in mother—ers’ living rooms and talkin’ business

He adds:

The meeting we just had with Swizz and Khaled about executive producing this project was the one that grabbed us and we’re gonna give y’all some real, real big records.
