His directorial debut, The Man with The Iron Fists, hasn’t even hit theaters yet, but that hasn’t slowed RZA’s drive to solidify his career in Hollywood as a director as he has already signed on to direct two more movies.
As reported by TheHollyWoodReporter, RZA the will direct the biopic Genghis Khan and also the action thriller No Man’s Land.
The Genghis Khan biopic is the story of the great military figure who united the Mongol tribes and conquered parts of Asia and Eastern Europe in the early 13th century, which has been in the works for years, with Milius, who wrote the script and is executive producing, directing, but that has changed as the Wu-Tang rapper has signed on to take over directing duties.
No Man’s Land centers around a man who steals a big time criminal’s diamond that is established to be a lot more valuable than originally thought. With the help of a dancer, he attempts to stay alive and bank on the valuable diamond. The story takes place during one night and has been described as a The Warriors like film. The film is produced by Bill Mechanic and Reginald Hudlin, a producer on Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, and will be directed by RZA.
RZA’s directorial debut, The Man With The Iron Fists, premiers this Friday, November 2nd. Visit the official “The Man With The Iron Fists” news page for more information, trailers, interviews and more [here].
