One quarter of the Slaughter, Royce Da 5’9’’ speaks on the follow up to the 2009 self titled album from the 4 man Slaughterhouse crew consisting of Joe Budden, Crooked I, Joell Ortiz and of course Royce Da 5’9’’.

AHH caught up with Detroit member of Slaughterhouse and he says the group has been in the lab crafting their new album since signing to Shady Records earlier this year.

According to Nickel, the group has over 20 songs finished, but he is unsure which tracks will make the final cut, as he says:

“We are about 70% of the way done. We’ve got a lot of great records. I think another 2 or 3 trips together….We’ve definitely got a record that I think we can go out with first. We are definitely close.”

Royce wouldn’t reveal too many more details of the album, but he did say the collective of emcees are  working with many big name producers on their sophomore effort.

There has not been a release date set, or a title for Slaughterhouse’s Shady Records debut as of press time.
