Earlier today it was reported that Rick Ross fell unconscious after having a seziure during a flight from Ft Lauderdale to Memphis which caused the plane to be emergency landed and Ross to be resuscitated by paramedics and rushed to the hospital.
Ross was on his way to Memphis University for the basketball teams Memphis Madness when the seizure occurred. Now despite the fact he had a seizure, Rick Ross still plans to hit the stage tonight as he called the staff at Memphis personally and said he is OK and would be there for his performance.
Memphis Tigers basketball coach Josh Pastner confirmed to CBS Sports that “[Ross] is still coming. He’s alive,” and Lamar Chance, assistant athletic media relations director at the University of Memphis, also confirmed Ross’ status as on his way to the show in an email to Fox Sports South.
Rick Ross’ performance for Memphis Madness will air on Sport South at 8 p.m. EST.
