As Def Sounds previously reported, Fort Lauderdale Police were investigating a late January shooting that led to Rick Ross crashing his Rolls Royce into a building while trying to flee the scene after an unknown gunman pulled on the side of the rapper’s vehicle and opened fire, letting loose multiple rounds. Now, just about two months after the incident, new details have surfaced that reveal Ross was armed with a gun during the shooting, and he soon may be facing legal troubles due to carrying the firearm.

As reported by AHH, according to a Fort Lauderdale PD report obtained by The Smoking Gun, Rick Ross was carrying a 9mm handgun in his waistband at the time of the January shooting.

In the report, a detective for the police department said that the Miami rapper revealed to the police officers that he was packing a Smith & Wesson semi-automatic 9mm gun that contained twelve live rounds, eleven in the magazine with one in the chamber.

Due to the fact that Ross was carrying a gun, he soon may be facing legal trouble even though the gun was registered, his concealed weapon/firearms license was suspended, which means he was in unlawful possession of a firearm.
