Early last month, Reebok cut all ties with Rick Ross as they dropped the rapper from his endorsement deal as a result of petitions and protests from anti-sexism group UltraViolet demanding that the rapper be dropped from the athletic company due to date rape lyrics on the song “U.O.E.N.O.”

At the time Rozay was dropped from Reebok, they issued a statement on why the rapper was let go, as they said:

Reebok holds our partners to a high standard and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so. While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse.

Now, during the Footwear News (FN) CEO Summit that is currently taking place at Fontainebleau Miami Beach in South Florida, the Reebok CEO Uli Becker addressed dropping Rick Ross, while saying the rapper is a great guy, but his advisors are “stupid.”

Earlier today, @FootwearNews tweeted a quote from Becker addressing the Rick Ross situation.
