According to the Chicago Sun-Times, teenage Chicago rappers Chief Keef and partner in his 3hunna crew Lil Reese, who was featured on the original version of “I Dont Like,” are both being investigated in connection with the murder of Lil Jojo, real name Joseph Coleman, as Chicago police officers were on the street last night looking for Jojo’s killer, and are looking to see if his murder is connected to the teenage rappers
A Chicago police source gave a statement:
“Two gangs are fighting each other, going at each other all over the Internet and this is all stemming from that.”
As previously mentioned, Chief Keef seemingly mocked the death of Jojo on twitter.
“Hahahahaha” followed by “Its Sad Cuz Dat N*gga Jojo Wanted To Be Jus Like Us LMAO”.
Due to the tweets, Police turned their attention to Chief Keef’s Twitter account, which he claimed was hacked.
“my twitter has been hacked I think I’m making a new one dumb hating ass people #DontWannaSeeAYougNiggaShine”
Keef’s manager, Rovan Manuel gave a statement on the situation, addressing Keef’s beef with Jojo, saying there was tension because Jojo recorded songs like Keefs:
“That kid made songs like Keef.”
“A lot of the stuff Keef does, that’s just cause he’s a kid.People forget that he’s a kid, a teenager and kids make mistakes. He makes mistakes the hard way”.
Lil Jojo’s mother gave a statement to the Chicago Sun-Times that she believes Keef is involved in her sons murder:
“How do you go on Twitter and brag about it?”
“I want justice for my son. It’s a stupid and senseless killing.
“It wasn’t a gang thing, it was a rap thing. My son was going to get a rap deal like some of them have and they were jealous.”
Just hours before Lil Jojo was murdered, he posted a video to his Youtube account with someone, who is believed to be Lil Reese, saying he’s going to kill Jojo.
