Legendary New York hip hop duo Pete Rock and CL Smooth have announced that they will hit the road in support of the 20th anniversary of their classic debut album, Mecca And The Soul Brother.

Pete Rock and CL Smooth’s 20th anniversary tour will take them to 25 cities in the U.S. and Canada, and will kick off on October 15th at the Howard Theater in Washington, D.C. and run through November 15th as things wind down at the Middle East in Boston.

The “Mecca And The Soul Brother Tour” will be the first North American tour since 1998 for the duo.

Pete Rock and CL Smooth spoke briefly on the tour:

CL stated:

It means a lot because music is the foundation of the world. It gives you an opportunity to know what we contributed and how inspired we were as very young men to get the opportunity to make good music.

Pete added:

People will finally get to hear good music and see a good show. They get to come out, have a good time and enjoy the music they loved for years.
