MTV’s “Hottest MC’s In The Game” #5, #4, #3

MTV continues their countdown for “Hottest MC In The Game” as they reveal #5, #4, and #3 for this years list.

#5. Drake

With no album or mixtape out in 2012, Drake still managed to pull into the #5 spot on MTV News’ Hottest MC in the Game list, in a unanimous vote from the roundtable. And that alone says a lot about the YMCMB rapper’s star power.

#4. Nas

Thanks to his gold-selling, Grammy-nominated Life is Good, Nas was able to secure the #4 position ahead of Drake and behind Rick Ross, who landed at #3. Some members of MTV’s Hip-Hop Brain Trust felt that Nas’ dim radio presence was a knock against him, while others argued that his impact went beyond FM stations.

#3. Rick Ross

Over the course of the past year, the Maybach Music boss continued to curate rap, not only with his tunes, but with the all-star MMG fleet, and that’s why he’s been able to hold his top-5 position, landing at #3 on the “Hottest MCs in the Game VIII” list.

this list is worse then death. How do you not put Lupe on. And i swear if Kendrick aint #1 imma throw a tantrum, like kanye. insted of making a hot list, they should make a who’s the best list. that way the whole list isn’t built around album sales,club hits,and twitter followers. it could be a list based around quality of the lyric and music. and then real arrtist like Lupe Fiasco would be on every year instead of retarts like future and meek mills.
