According to The Hollywood Reporter, hip hop artist / actor Mos Def will be co-starring in the upcoming sixth season of the hit Showtime show Dexter.
Mos will play an “ex-con who claims to have found religion yet seems to continually find himself surrounded by violence” – before his true identity is discovered by everybody’s favorite serial killing blood-splatter analyst, Dexter Morgan.
No word yet on how many episodes he will be appearing in, but he will be one of the main villains of six season. Colin Hanks, the season’s main ‘bad guy,’ will appearing in all 12 episodes. Hanks will play an ancient artifacts expert who is linked to a series of violent murders in Miami.
Production for season six of Dexter is scheduled to begin next month and Showtime hopes to air the show this fall.
