Method Man, co-star of the 2001 film How High, gives an update on the progress of the film, and is calling for the fans help to start a petition to get a How High 2 movie complete.

Back in 2008, Method Man’s co-star in the stoner comedy, Redman announced that the sequel for the film was in the works. Since then, not much progress on the flick has been made.

Method Man recently caught up with TMZ, and spoke on how much progress on the film has been made since Redman’s initial announcement.

Meth states:

Well, right now, my man Dustin Lee Abraham who wrote the first one, we’re waiting on him to write the second one. If it’s good enough, we’ll rush out the gate with it, but if it’s sub-par…

When asked what happened over the past six years since the announcement, Method Man said that they just haven’t been working on it, and Meth says fans should start a petition in hopes of getting the film rolling:

Universal get that stick up out their ass, there’s a lot of people who wanna see this movie. Matter of fact, you guys should start a petition. And once you start it, then we’ll see where the big wigs heads are at, when it comes to Method Man and Redman, and then we’ll get that “How High 2″  poppin.
