On February 21st, MC Hammer was arrested for allegedly obstructing a police officer. The arrest was kept quiet for a couple days until last night, Hammer took to Twitter and gave his side of the story, and he insinuated that racial profiling played a part in his trouble with the law.

As reported by CNN, Rapper MC Hammer launched a string of tweets Saturday with his side of the story two days after he was arrested in northern California for allegedly obstructing an officer.

According to a police spokesman, Hammer was arrested near Oakland, Ca at the Hacienda Crossings shopping center on suspicion of resisting an officer and obstructing an officer in the performance of his duties.

Police added that Hammer was in a vehicle with expired registration and he was not the registered owner.

The spokesperson gave an explanation on how the incident with Hammer got underway:

After asking Hammer who the registered owner was he became very argumentative and refused to answer the officer’s questions

After word of his arrest got out, Hammer took to Twitter to explain his side of the story, and he suggested that racial profiling played a part in his arrest, because he believes that he did nothing wrong while he let the arresting officer know that not all people of color are on probation or parole.
