Lupe Fiasco has earned gold status for his 2011 album Lasers, as it has surpassed the 500k sales mark 10 months after its release on March 8th, 2011.
The Chicago rappers’ 3rd studio album, Lasers, sold just over 200k copies in its first sales week and debuted atop the Billboard 200.
Lasers had the best-selling opening week sales of Lupe’s career, and was his second top 10 album on the chart.
Lupe Fiasco is planning to release his fourth studio LP, Food & Liquor II, later this year. And as it was announced last week, Lu is preparing to drop a joint album with Pharrell in 2012.
