According to a lawsuit, Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco has been accused of hiding millions of dollars for a drug kingpin.
As reported by TMZ, Lupe Fiasco is being sued by the estranged wife of his mentor and business partner, who is also a convicted drug kingpin Charles “Chilly” Patton, who’s currently serving a 44-year prison sentence for running a heroin enterprise.
The suit states, Chilly’s estranged wife believes Fiasco conspired with Patton to move more than $9 million into multiple bank accounts in attempt to block her from getting the money in the couples ongoing divorce.
The lawsuit was filed due to the fact that Chill’s wife thinks she’s found the money trail, and believes it went through Lupe. Now, she filed suit in effort to get what she claims is rightfully hers.
TMZ reached out to Lupe in regards to the suit, and got a reply from the rapper’s lawyer, as he stated that her suit will be proven false at trial:
Inita’s allegations are baseless and will be proven false at trial. Adding, “There are no secret accounts and no illicit instructions.”
Lupe also took to Twitter to address the claims, view the tweets, via FSD, below:
