Coming off the very successful release of his 1.21 Gigawatts mixtape, Ludacris gives an update on when to expect his next album along with some other details.
Luda chopped it up with Billboard and says he has been in the lab working on what will be his eighth studio album, Ludaversal. Luda says to expect the album in May, and look-out for the projects first single in March.
Luda says at this time he is about 40% done with the LP, and has about 80% of the beats he needs:
“I get the beats together and I put out my ideas, so I’d say we’re maybe about 40 percent done. I’ve pretty much collected about 80 percent of the beats that I need and I’ve started writing ideas on them. First I have to love the beat, absolutely love it.”
Ludacris gives a little insight on the album:
“It’s been a minute since I’ve been away from music, and there is just so much to talk about. So [the album] is mostly about my personal life, my travels, my experiences, rumors, gossip — you know, everything coming together in one.”
